There are three ways to mark select levels on a proofsheet. 1. Hovering over the gray bar below the thumbnail and clicking on the buttons that appear. 2. Highlighting one or more images and clicking on the buttons in the top right corner of the proofsheet. 3. Highlighing one or more images and using the keyboard shortcuts for editing (1=1st, 2=2nd, 3=Kill, 4=Clear). The select levels you choose will be represented by colored borders around the images (or underlines, if you’ve changed your Viewing Preferences).

Using the keyboard shortcuts for editing (1=1st, 2=2nd, 3=Kill, 4=Clear). After changing the select level, the viewer will advance to the next image. In 1-up, you can also use the left and right arrow keys to scroll through images. The select levels you choose will be represented by colored borders (or underlines) around the thumbnail images at the bottom of the screen.

Filtering Proofsheet by Select Level

After you have finished editing a project, you may want to see just the images you chose as first select, second selects, etc. You can do this by clicking on the ‘Selects’ dropdown in the top left of the proofsheet. This can be useful when sending a Messenger — you can send your client just the images you like the most.
