Photographer Moshe Brakha is renowned for his signature flair, that compelling, fascinating aura that screams sophistication. His work evokes a certain stylistic sensibility, a knack for innovative and sensual photography that engages the mesmerized viewer. His most recent project, Occupation Dreamer, brings to the public for the first time his collection of celebrity portraiture from the 70s and 80s – a collection that not only helps define his interpretation of his subjects but also refines punk culture.

Brakha examined both his own work and the work of his subjects to successfully convey the raw emotion and attitude of his compilation. From an opening-night Madonna to a group of endearing Beastie Boys to a perfect portrait of seductiveness in Diana Ross, his vision was achieved with the resourceful renderings of DigitalFusion Artist Anna Bolek. Together, Brakha and Bolek combined their inventive approaches to art to synthesize a post-modern portrait of punk perfection. Each subject embraces the individual freedom of the culture through Brakha’s lens; each image connotes a certain simplicity in the energy and passion of both photographer and those being photographed.
