Astronaut Scott Kelly returned to Earth earlier this year after spending nearly a year in space aboard the international space station. From his perch (249 miles) above the earth, he photographed hundreds of beautiful and abstract images of our planet’s surface while making more than 5000 trips around the Earth.
He gazed out of the cupola, and with his camera created images that show how beautiful and delicate our planet is, all the while sending them back to earth in his twitter feed #YearInSpace.
“Kelly’s photographs are stunning, and very artistic,” says Hugh Milstein of DigitalFusion. “Kelly was not a professional photographer, but you wouldn’t know it from looking at his images. We are very excited to have the opportunity to display his work in our gallery, and I know audiences will be spellbound with his perspective and images of Space and Earth.”
